The Center for Cost-Effective Government was formed to provide an educational platform for taxpayers who wish to obtain crucial information to critically decipher how their tax dollars are being spent. Governing boards, whether on the federal, state, or local levels are constantly bombarded by various special interest groups seeking to increase the level of spending and ultimately the taxes that must be borne by the average citizen. 

The Center acts as a counterbalance to lay out a path to provide for a more efficient government that meets the demand for needed services without overtaxing and overregulating our business and residential communities.

The Center for Cost Effective Government is committed toward the goal of bringing about an end to burdensome state and federal mandates that crush local governments and the business community.

State laws requiring mandatory arbitration, the Triborough doctrine (which continues all benefits and step increases of a contract even after it has expired), over-reaching workers compensation rules and unsustainable pension systems have caused property taxes to soar and many businesses to fold.

The Center will promote the elimination and/or consolidation of superfluous taxing districts, public/private partnerships, higher academic standards, purchasing consortiums, and government reform by petitioning for impartial panels to redraw electoral district lines.  If you agree with our platform, we welcome you to the fight.
